Fundraising and Special Project Opportunities for Groups –Humane Society of Forsyth County

 

Fundraisers would be held to solicit money and items needed at the shelter.  We currently have need for dog beds, cat beds, new litter boxes, vet care including prescriptions , sick animals that need special care, feral cat feeding stations, catnip toys and scarf’s for dogs , that will go with the animal when it is adopted.

 

Types of Fundraisers

 

  • Bake sale (Valentines, spring, May Day, fall, Halloween, Christmas)

 

  • Sell Hot Dogs at Humane Society Events –i.e. Pet smart and Kroger Adoptions, Bark in the Park, etc.

 

  • Build feral cat feeding stations

 

  • Adopt a feral cat feeding station

 

  • Make and sell Humane Society of Forsyth yearly calendars (feature animals at the shelter throughout the year).

 

  • Have a garage sale

 

  • Have a dog wash  

 

 

Special Projects

 

  • Make scarves to be given to the adoptee of a puppy/dog when they are adopted . We could also use these for our dogs here at the shelter.

 

  • Make Catnip Mice to be given to the adoptee of a cat/kitten when they are adopted and also to our cats at the shelter.

Tour of shelter prior to fundraising event. Shelter tours will be held on either the 3rd Monday of every month from 10 - 2 by making an appointment with Cheryl Zander at Cheryl@zptinc.com.
