Special thanks to Dr. Emily Matthews from Webb Bridge Animal Hospital for her special assistance with Tawny. Tawny's eye is on the mend and we appreciate all the help received from Webb Bridge.

  • A Birthday girl she is - a giver she is - a dog and cat lover she is - WHO is she????

The Humane Society of Forsyth County is very proud and pleased to have Samantha Weninger as our friend! Samantha is just 7 years old and with the help of her mom Diane decided to have her birthday party gifts donated to the adoption center. The guests were asked to make donations of cat and dog supplies in lieu of gifts for herself. How about that! Oh and when she grows up, what do you think she wants to be? You got it - a vet. (Pictures forthcoming)

For keeping a donation box.

For her 7th birthday, Aislinn requested food for the HSFC animals instead of presents. Her neighbor thought it was a good idea and now is going to do the same for her B-day party. Thank you Aislinn.

Thank you Forsyth County Newcomers Club for allowing the HSFC to talk with you and for your kind donation.

Special Thanks to Dee Barrett, volunteer of the horse rescue, for agreeing to foster Willow during her quarantine period, the German Shepherd mix who was living in the horse trailer for a week.

Willow has been spayed and is current on all vaccinations.  She is extremely sweet and shy.  She gets along with other dogs and even cats well.  She is great with children.

Pass the word to your friends and coworkers, perhaps they have a place in their hearts for this adorable girl.  (Picture coming soon)

Al at A&E Tree Service for all the beautiful trees that are gracing the grounds that
     he so generously donated.
Bobbi Blanton for the large, new dog crate she donated to the shelter (she is the
mother of the young man that does our "night work" at the shelter during the
     week of Laurie's nights off).
